DVM — Veterinarian
Dr. Tirabassi grew up in southern New Hampshire surrounded by many animals. Although she meant to become a veterinarian, her career shifted to research early in college and she received her bachelor's degree from Tufts University and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
After many years of doing research and raising a family, she returned to her first love and received her veterinary degree from Tufts University. While at Tufts she had the unique opportunity of working with alpacas in Peru through the Nunoa Project.
Dr. Tirabassi loves taking care of all animals, both big and small, but particularly enjoys working with small backyard farms. She has a special fondness for goats, camelids and chickens.
Dr. Tirabassi and her husband share their chaotic home and farm with five kids, multiple dogs, some poultry and a herd of troublesome goats.
While at Tufts, Dr. Tirabassi had the unique opportunity of working with alpacas in Peru through the Nunoa Project, gaining invaluable experience with camelid medicine.
